Dear Don, Bob Culbertson has recommended I make contact with you. I am looking for a Stick teacher here in LA and he suggested that you might help me out? I am a complete beginner on the stick but have been playing jazz piano for many years, studied at Berklee College. I have a lot of music experience, just not on the stick! Can you possibly make time for a new student? If yes, YAY! If no, can you recommend someone here in LA who might be willing to take me on? I work hard and learn fast - Thanks Catherine

GREETINGS BIG FELLA! You be sounding mighty fine on the NS,my friend! Your web site is a work of art, did you do it under the outfluence of donuts??? as of late, I have been Studying 1x a week with trey gunn... This has been a dog send! AND, I tuned the melody side in 5ths as well, and it just opened the STICK up to me in a way 4ths never did... Being a bass player, i guess.... at any rate, I have been busy playing with my band Comfort Food (celebrating the music of Electric Miles Davis, meets Fela Kuti)... yeah we are doing some 70's jazz fusion and some afro-beat as well. You would like the band... And doing some music with some musicians from west africa... Playing Stick with hand percussionists is a total gas, don't ya think. Getting ready to send Stick to Emmett for fresh set up and a GK3 pickup... I hope this finds you well! Blessings to you and for the great vibe you put out into the donutsphere! randy
