I always loved Tower of Power. I wanted an exciting tune like that with sax solos. This features my brother Dave playing loud and proud. The Melody and bass are all NS/Stickbassguitar.

This is another cut off "The Schiff Brothers" album. Fun smooth jazzy like tune. Lite 'n lively featuring a Harmoncist, Bruce Kurnow. On drums we have Neil Bettencourt. This tune features me on the NS/Stickbassguitar both on melody and bass. Lots of different techniques used on the NS both in tapping, plucking and strumming. The bowed strings are an instrument called the Guitar Viol which is a guitar set up so that each string can be bowed. Wonderful tone. I wanted to create a smooth easy happy feeling in this tune. Think nice sunny day with someone you are enamored with.

Smooth Jazz piece featuring the Grand Stick on melody and NS/Stickbassguitar. This tune is off "The Schiff Brothers" CD. I loved the the sound I got on the melody side of the Grand Stick by plucking. Something unique to my instrument when plucked in that range, there is a nice ambient twang to the tone. Not fretless or Sitar totally just a nice tone all to itself that I delighted in making this the melody feature sound. This tune features Neil Bettencourt on drums and John Papenbrook on Flugel and Trumpet. Great players that made this arrangement world class.

Featuring Bruce Kurnow on Harmonica, Dave Schiff on Sax and me on NS/Stick. Fun arrangement of a tune I co-wrote years ago with Tully Winfield then added Dave into the writing mix. He came up with a brilliant bridge. Wonderful ensemble piece I think you will enjoy.

Rio Nights, a tune I wrote specifically for my brother to feature on tenor. Wonderfully played and felt. Flashy little flute solo too.
